A   Sorbitol is monosaccharide polyhydric alcohol, which is naturally can be found in fruits and berries. Commercially Sorbitol can be produced by hydrogenating glucose in high pressure.

    Q   What is the negative effect of consuming Sorbitol ?  
    A   If being consumed above the suggestive amount there is possibility to have slight laxative effect  
           
    Q   What dosages of sorbitol can be safely consumed?  
    A   According to Professor N. Koizumi et ? al from Hyogo College of Medicine Japan, due to its laxative effect, suggestive consumption is 0.15 g per kg of male weight or 0.30 g per kg of female weight. It is also mentioned that the dose of 25 g caused diarrhea in 5.8% of subjects of one research

    A   Sorbitol produces 2.8 calories per gram (70% solution) in comparison to 4 calories per gram of sugar.

    Q   How to store Sorbitol?  
    A   Sorbitol in powder form can be stored in a storage with  temperature between 50?F up to 100?F (50?F - 100?F). This condition  keeps sorbitol in free flowing condition.
    While Sorbitol in liquid form can be stored in a place which has 70?F. Below the degrees, Sorbitol will be crystallizing. The material of the storage place can be made of stainless steel, fiberglass or epoxy lined tank.
